80 Channel Radio Conversions

Unlocking the Uniden UH7760NB UHF CB radio

 
Unlocking the Uniden UH076SX-NB UHF CB radio
 
  1. Turn on the power by turning the power knob clockwise
  2. Press the channel up button until it reads channel 39 and wait 3 seconds
  3. Turn the power off by turning the power knob anti-clockwise and wait 4 seconds
  4. While holding down the (DUP) & (MON) buttons, Turn the power knob clockwise to turn the power on
  5. Check the channel range to see if channels 41 to 80 appear
  6. If channels 41 to 80 fail to appear repeat steps 1-5
 
Unlocking the Uniden UH710SX-NB / UH720SX-NB UHF CB radios
 
  1. Turn on the power by turning the power knob clockwise
  2. Press the channel up button until it reads channel 39 and wait 3 seconds
  3. Turn the power off by turning the power knob anti-clockwise and wait 4 seconds
  4. While holding down the (TXP) & (SCAN) buttons, Turn the power knob clockwise to turn the power on
  5. Check the channel range to see if channels 41 to 80 appear
  6. If channels 41 to 80 fail to appear repeat steps 1-5
 
 
 
Icom 400Pro UHF CB radio
 
The Icom 400Pro is 80 Channel Upgradeable however you will need the programming software and programming lead

GME UHF CB user upgrade instructions
 
  1. Select Channel 7
  2. Switch the radio ‘Off’ then ‘ON’ again
  3. Select Channel 23
  4. Switch the radio ‘Off’ then ‘ON’ again
  5. Select Channel 39
  6. Switch the radio ‘Off’ then ‘ON’ again
  7. Select Channel 15
  8. Switch the radio ‘Off’ then ‘ON’ again
  9. Select Channel 31
  10. Switch the radio ‘Off’ then ‘ON’ again
Unit should display channel 80 if successful, if unsuccessful try again from step one
